Riviera Designer Resale Report 2026

Across Europe, used designer furniture from eight sought-after brands is being offered at a median of 43% of its stated new price (109 listings stating a new price, collected in early October 2026). On the Riviera, Meubles Monaco has listed 374 pieces since March 2025 at a median asking price of 34.5% of the seller-reported original, and 64% of completed sales have gone through at the full asking price. The lesson for sellers is simple: a realistic price, not a hopeful one, is what sells.

Key figures

  • Across 492 used listings for eight designer brands on 11 resale sites in six European countries, the 109 listings that stated a new price were asking a median of 43% of it (early October 2026).
  • Among brands with at least eight listings stating a new price, median asking prices ranged from 30% of new (Fendi Casa) to 58% (BoConcept), though dealer listings weigh heavily in several brands.
  • Used Ligne Roset Togo fireside chairs were asking a median of €2,050 in Europe (12 listings), slightly above the €1,956.88 starting price for a new one in entry fabric in France.
  • Meubles Monaco has listed 374 pre-owned designer and quality pieces since March 2025, at a median asking price of 34.5% of the seller-reported original, below the roughly 43% of stated new price being asked across Europe (the reference prices differ; see How we calculated these figures).
  • 64% of completed sales on Meubles Monaco went through at the full asking price; where a buyer negotiated, the average reduction was 21%.
  • The median time from listing to sale on Meubles Monaco is 66 days.

The European market: eight brands at a glance

We collected 492 used listings for Roche Bobois, Minotti, Fendi Casa, Eichholtz, BoConcept, B&B Italia, Cassina and Ligne Roset from 11 resale sites in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and the UK. All are asking prices; where a listing stated the new price, we show the asking price as a percentage of it.

Brand Used listings Median asking price Listings stating a new price Median asking, % of new Range, % of new
Roche Bobois 76 €2,158 13 35% 15%–79%
Minotti 64 €3,890 10 36% 20%–103%
Fendi Casa 31 €1,350 8 30% 18%–43%
Eichholtz 51 €735 24 34% 16%–100%
BoConcept 62 €992 23 58% 16%–87%
B&B Italia 70 €3,990 23 56% 28%–92%
Cassina 58 €4,098 3 70% 45%–81%
Ligne Roset 80 €2,315 5 49% 23%–65%

Read the percentages with their sources in mind. For three brands a single source supplies most of the listings that state a new price: Roche Bobois (11 of 13 from one UK dealer, Rehaus), Minotti (9 of 10 on Whoppah) and BoConcept (15 of 23 from one German dealer, revive.de). revive.de also accounts for 10 of the 23 B&B Italia figures. Dealers often quote their own reference price, so these medians partly reflect one source's pricing. For Cassina (3 listings, all on Deesup) and Ligne Roset (5 listings, 4 from Rehaus) the percentages are indicative only; the model figures below are a better guide.

The models that hold their value

Brand averages hide the real story: named models hold their price best.

Model Used listings Median asking price New price reference
Ligne Roset Togo fireside chair 12 €2,050 From €1,956.88 (ligne-roset.com France, entry fabric)
Ligne Roset Togo two-seat 13 €2,390 From €2,789.42 (France)
Ligne Roset Togo three-seat 9 €3,629 From €3,635.97 (France)
Ligne Roset Togo corner 9 €2,200 From €2,774.42 (France)
Cassina LC4 chaise longue 4 €4,247 From €5,224 (smow.com, entry configuration)
B&B Italia Charles sofa (all configurations) 16 €2,948 Three-seat module from £5,360 (about €6,303, Innes UK)
B&B Italia Camaleonda 7 €13,800 From €9,000 to £21,129 depending on configuration
Minotti Hamilton sofa 14 €6,365 Base configuration from €6,425 (Ciat Design)
Roche Bobois Mah Jong (includes several ads from one dealer) 12 €8,777 Set of 12 elements £18,975 (as stated by Rehaus)

Togo is the clearest example. It made up 63 of our 80 Ligne Roset listings, and used fireside chairs and three-seaters are being offered at around the starting price of a new one in entry fabric, and two-seaters at about 86% of it. Many are leather, Alcantara or re-covered, which cost more new.

Cassina's LC4 asks a median of about 81% of its entry new price, but European auction results for the LC4 ranged from €1,530 to €2,500 (premium inclusion not stated). Expect a gap between what is asked and what is paid.

B&B Italia's Charles asks a little under half the price of a new three-seat module, across a mix of sizes. Camaleonda listings, mostly multi-module compositions, sit above the entry new price, so the comparison is not like for like.

Minotti's Hamilton was the most-listed Minotti model. Asking prices ran from €2,750 to €12,498 (the top figure includes a coffee table), while seven Hamiltons marked sold on Deesup had last been listed at a median of €2,900. Price with the marked-sold figures in mind rather than the asking range.

Roche Bobois's Mah Jong, Hans Hopfer's modular floor sofa, ranged from €1,550 for a single armchair to €18,228 for a 15-piece set. One UK dealer was asking 64% and 79% of its stated retail price for two large sets.

Brand-by-brand price guides

Each guide sets out the European figures model by model, with practical pricing advice for Riviera sellers.

What drives resale value on the Riviera

  • A named model. Togo, LC4, Charles or Mah Jong can be researched and compared; buyers pay for that certainty.
  • Condition. Upholstery wear, stains and scratched lacquer weigh heavily. A good re-cover can make a worn classic sofa easier to sell; many used Togos on offer have been re-covered.
  • Completeness. All modules, cushions and matching chairs.
  • Size and access. Monaco's small lifts and tight stairwells favour modular and dismantlable pieces.
  • Paperwork. An original invoice, labels or stamps support the stated original price and reassure buyers.

Pricing advice for sellers

For most pieces, start around a third of the original price and adjust for condition, model and size. Named models in good order can ask more. 64% of our completed sales have gone at the full asking price, so a realistic price from the first day matters.

Listing with Meubles Monaco means a curated marketplace and local Riviera buyers who come to view the piece in your home. We review your photographs and description and give every listing a condition grade. The asking price includes our 15% commission, so you keep 85%. Read how to price your preloved furniture for a fast sale in Monaco, see selling your luxury furniture in Monaco, or list your furniture from €25.

Advice for buyers

Pieces stay in the seller's home. You reserve online for €25, we introduce you to the seller to arrange a viewing, and you pay the balance online before collection. We grade each listing from its photographs and description but do not see pieces in person, so use the viewing well: check upholstery, joints, finishes, labels and any paperwork. How we calculated these figures

European market data.

  • 492 used listings for eight brands (Roche Bobois 76, Minotti 64, Fendi Casa 31, Eichholtz 51, BoConcept 62, B&B Italia 70, Cassina 58, Ligne Roset 80), collected in early October 2026 from 11 resale sites: 2ememain, Deesup, eBay.de, Kleinanzeigen, Marktplaats, Rehaus, revive.de, Selency, Subito, Vinterior and Whoppah, covering Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and the UK.
  • All are asking prices. "Marked sold" figures are the last listed price on a listing marked sold, which may differ from what the buyer paid. Auction results are hammer prices as published; whether the buyer's premium is included was not stated.
  • "% of new" uses the new price stated in the listing itself (109 of 492 listings). Dealers' "retail" or "original" prices are as stated by the dealer.
  • Model new-price references are starting prices for a base configuration from official brand sites or retailers, checked in October 2026, except Mah Jong (a UK dealer's stated retail price for a 12-element set) and the upper Camaleonda figure (a larger configuration); actual prices vary with size and covering.
  • Excluded: listings in currencies other than euros or pounds, open auction lots, new or unused items, vintage pieces (1950s Minotti by Gigi Radice, and 1970s C&B Italia and early Camaleonda pieces), and listings we could not attribute with confidence.
  • The Togo two-seat figure excludes two 1970s leather two-seaters with arms (€6,766 each on Selency), which correspond to a different current model.
  • Pounds converted to euros at 1.176 (ECB rate, 2 October 2026).

Meubles Monaco data.

  • Period: listings from March 2025; completed sales from April 2025 to early October 2026.
  • 374 listings analysed. Asking-price figures use the 264 listings priced above €100 whose reported original price was higher than the asking price. Category figures cover categories with at least eight such listings.
  • Original prices are as reported by the seller; we have not independently checked every figure. The asking price is the price shown to buyers, including our 15% commission.
  • "Sold for" is the amount the buyer paid in full online through Meubles Monaco. There were 39 completed sales: 31 had a reported original price (median 31% of it, middle half 15% to 38%), and 37 had measurable listing and sale dates (quartiles 32 and 206 days). Two line items for one listing, a side table and mirror sold together, count as one sale.
  • One Roche Bobois lamp listing is excluded from all figures because its price units were ambiguous; a pair of bedside tables sold in February 2026 is excluded from sales figures because its payments could not be matched to one price.
  • The European and Meubles Monaco percentages use different reference prices (a new price stated in a listing versus an original reported by the seller), so compare them as a direction, not a precise gap.
  • Percentages are per piece and rounded to whole numbers, except medians falling exactly between two values (such as 34.5%). Figures describe the period covered and are not a forecast.
